Summary

Quality Measures are embedded in multiple CMS focus programs (Five Star, SNF QRP, SNF VBP), in addition to driving the survey process. Is your team strategic in how they manage the Quality Measures? Do the Quality Measure numbers accurately reflect what is happening in your facility when it comes to patient care and outcomes? This session will review the interconnectedness of the MDS assessments and answers to the Quality Measure calculations as well as drive home that the key to managing the Quality Measure process is to have an IDT approach that is proactive in nature versus reactive. The importance of verifying that the MDS accurately reflects the care and services being delivered to the patients and the clinical picture of the resident is critical for success
