Summary

Research-based, interactive session explaining music's profound impact on dementia and the brain. Music is stored in areas of the brain less impacted by the majority of types of dementia. The session will explain how right-brained activities can be harnessed and used to provide structure, improve appetite, reduce negative behaviors, reduce falls, and increase overall resident, family, and staff satisfaction.

The topic is universal to brain health and can be used in all healthcare environments. The session is interactive with games and prizes. Attendees will develop a unique yet clinical understanding of how music and right brained activities can simply enhance the experience for their residents living with dementia.
