This is a two-day bundle. This 12-hour seminar was created for those who are currently working in life enrichment or looking to advance their career in assisted living. This seminar will be facilitated in a fun, interactive, and practical way. The course includes reviewing the basic building blocks of what it takes to be prepared to be successful in this position. Those topics include administrative basics such as setting up program, office, and supplies and programming basics such as creating calendars, leading resident council, memory care programming, outings and setting up successful volunteer programs, involving the whole team and so much more.
- Each participant will gain comprehensive skills to prepared to work as a Life Enrichment Professional in Assisted Living
- Each participant will be able to define the seven dimensions of wellness needed to create comprehensive quality calendars
- Each participant will be prepared to plan, facilitate and evaluate group enrichment of offerings
- Each participant will gain an understanding of various approaches and systems to gather the social history, interests, and life stories of their seniors and design demographically sound programs from the findings
- Each Participant will be provided with resources and tools and education that will assist in designing an engaging and organized life enrichment program

Activity Professionals: Application has been submitted to the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals for 12.0 clock hours of continuing education credit.
Ohio Administrators: The Ohio Health Care Association is an approved provider of continuing education credit by the Ohio Board of Executives of Long Term Care Services and Supports (BELTSS). Approval #pending
Ohio Nurses: Nurses please note any continuing education that has been approved by BELTSS (or any other accredited body) can be accepted by the Ohio Board of Nursing in the State of Ohio. Nurses may use this continuing education to meet their licensure requirements. Please refer to OBN continuing education rules 4723-14-01 thru 4723-14-19
Certified Executives for Assisted Living (CEAL®): This program has been approved and can be used toward the renewal of the CEAL certification.
