Summary

The elderly population has been disproportionately a?ected by COVID-19. The greatest risk for severe illness is 85 years of age and older, which account for nearly half of all residents in skilled nursing facilities. 64% are living with alzheimer's disease or related dementia. It is important for healthcare workers and caregivers to understand how COVID speci?cally impacts this population.
