This 2-day course is designed for new nurses, nurses seeking to grow, or experienced nurses who would like a refresher in assisted living.

The Assisted Living Nurse Academy is designed for nursing professionals who work in assisted living communities and will focus on the many facets of the nurse's role in assisted living. The Academy will address the challenges and routine duties that an assisted living nurse faces day today. The course instructors are experienced in assisted living and will offer expert knowledge on how to dispense quality nursing care to assisted living residents. The Academy will enhance your ability to successfully manage nursing services and will dive into the details and varied tasks and roles that are a part of every day for a nurse in assisted living. This course is designed to help nurses understand the population they serve, the regulations that oversee their work, and the knowledge, information, resources, and tools it takes to be successful.

Credit Information
This program offers 12.5 hours of continuing education credit for the attending both days (day 1 = 7, day 2 = 5.5) following:
If they attend the entire program, all attendees, regardless of their need for CE credits, will receive a certificate of attendance.
Certified Executives for Assisted Living (CEAL): 12.5 hours are available during this program and can be used toward the renewal of the CEAL certification.
Ohio Licensed Administrators: The Association is an approved provider of continuing education credit by the Ohio Board of Executives for Long Term Care Services and Supports (BELTSS). Administrators can earn 12.5 preferred hours of continuing education credit. (Pending approval #)
Ohio Nurses: Nurses please note any continuing education that has been approved by BELTSS (or any other accredited body) can be accepted by the Ohio Board of Nursing in the State of Ohio. Nurses may use this continuing education to meet their licensure requirements. Please refer to OBN continuing education rules 4723-14-01 thru 4723-14-19.
