Summary

“The talk” about utilizing medication aides is a sensitive conversation. Getting team buy-in is important to lay out a plan to improve employee retention, satisfaction and facility outcomes. This webinar will discuss the process involved to begin using and training Medication Aides Certified by the Ohio Board of Nursing in your facilities. It will address state regulations and educational requirements as well as the fear of the unknown that may make administration and nursing staff hesitant to utilize medication aides. Health care credentials are not the basis for safer medication administration. All studies show medication aides reduce medication errors. They receive more hours of pharmacology and training than nursing students. It’s time…let’s fix this.
