Residents managed by Home Health agencies in ALF's are known to be older, have higher cognitive deficits, and need more assistance with activities of daily living (ADL's). The needs of residents in ALF's demonstrates an excellent opportunity for business growth if your staff has training in advanced dementia care and provide effective rehab services.
- Discuss the market opportunity for home health in assisted living facilities.
- Identify the leading issues in cognitive decline that should be addressed in ALF residents by HHA staff.
- Describe the stages people with Dementia are at, the issues that commonly present and what Dementia care and education should provide for residents and caregivers.
