The purpose of this session is to provide participants with information that will impact day to day revenue cycle operations through data analytics and development of key performance indicator (KPI) dashboards. This session is designed for management teams to understand how to create and maintain metrics essential to understanding revenue cycle performance and identifying potential complications. The use of KPI will allow managers and executives to communicate effectively around performance standards and expectations allowing a swift move to a mitigation strategy. Technology has allowed for the collection of data to occur faster than ever before, and if you are not capturing this power and putting it to work you are missing a golden opportunity. Participants will:
- Be able to verbally identify all potential data sources from which to create structured KPI dashboards.
- Be able to transcribe the formulas for 5 key performance indicators including both numerator and denominator elements.
- Verbalize understanding of how to utilize metrics through a set of examples that will help quantify outcomes and create measurable action plans.
