Summary

This presentation will provide you with the key elements of proper OASIS scoring. We will dive into the impact of OASIS items on outcome tracking as well as the opportunities that are often missed due to inaccurate reporting. We will be reviewing the functional impairment items as well as the OASIS-D Guidance Manual Best Practices for both the M- items as well as GG- scoring.

Objectives:

  1. Understand the financial impact of the Functional Impairment components and how to implement good practices within your organization
  2. Understand the concept of a moving LUPA threshold and how IDT collaboration at the initiation of care can determine effective visit utilization
  3. Identify OASIS education opportunities for new and existing employees
  4. Identify best practices within your organization for accurate collaboration of the M1800 scoring items between therapy and nursing teams

Ohio Administrators: The Ohio Health Care Association is an approved provider of continuing education credit by the Ohio Board of Executives of Long Term Care Services and Supports (BELTSS). Approval #36959-SS-20.
