Ohio Health Care Association
COVID-19 has presented unprecedented and unique challenges for congregate care settings. In addition to increasing regulatory requirements; difficulties with staffing, census and patient perceptions have been exacerbated by this deadly virus. Operators also struggle to find resolution for social isolation and resident mental well-being while under visitation restrictions. During this session, we will discuss how assisted living and skilled nursing providers can partner in innovative and creative ways with their hospice providers to enhance care and combat social isolation. Lastly, we will review the regulatory flexibilities expanding access to telehealth, considerations for the new requirements of testing of hospice staff members, and applicable regulatory guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Ohio Department of Health.Expand summary
