The COVID-19 pandemic isn’t going anywhere. Many home health agencies are now experiencing their first COVID-19 positive patients, while others have had many. Hospices are faced with unique challenges accessing their patients in congregate settings. With the Ohio Department of Health gearing up to resume regular survey activity for non-long term care providers, this session will help to ensure that your staff is ready. We will discuss the COVID-19 federal emergency blanket waivers and billing requirements, Ohio Medicaid emergency waivers and current state orders. We will also review CDC recommendations and best practices for those exposed to COVID-19 as well as those who test positive as it relates to our clients as well as staff members. Lastly, we will discuss how changes to the emergency preparedness plan requirements impact home health and hospice agencies.
