A correct and complete ICD-10-CM diagnosis list is paramount to accurate Medicare reimbursement under the Patient-Driven Payment Model (PDPM). Having well-trained staff members know accurate code assignment is crucial. This program will include information regarding the Official Coding Guidelines, best practices for accurate ICD-10-CM code assignment, how to avoid common coding mistakes, and the importance of principal/primary diagnosis identification.

Attendees are encouraged to have their current ICD-10 coding book available during the training. This workshop will feature many coding exercises and scenarios where the coding book will be used.
