Summary

In this session, attendees will learn how to effectively and legally implement research in their skilled nursing facility. The session will begin with an overview and analysis of the regulatory requirements for performing research in a skilled nursing facility. The session will then walk through how your Facility can effectively monitor the regulatory requirements. From there, attendees will learn about the unique challenges of doing research in a skilled nursing facility. Attendees will learn how to assess and overcome those challenges, using a data-driven approach, to ensure research is performed in a compliant manner. The session will end with a discussion of best practices for effectively implementing research in your organization and how to illustrate compliance with the regulatory requirements. To assist with this illustration and to help demonstrate effectiveness, attendees will receive a tool that they can use to apply a data-driven approach to research compliance. How to use the tool will be demonstrated as part of the presentation.
